Monica brings the corporate and business know-how to the
partnership. For nearly 20 years she has worked in the corporate arena in both Australia and the US
in media relations, communications, organizational development, advertising and marketing. Her last position was Vice President
- PR and Media Relations for Lend Lease Real Estate Investments US.
Highlights of her career include marketing with Disney,
her own public relations business and ten years with Lend Lease Corporation which brought her from Australia
to New York.
Since her transfer from Sydney
to New York in 1998 Monica has been active on the independent film scene gaining experience
through such films as I'll Take You There by Adrienne Shelly, as well as numerous student films via Columbia University where she also assisted
in the University's film festivals over a number of years. Monica has also been involved in theatre projects such as The
Indian Wants the Bronx and is currently directing public relations activities for an independent film company.
Currently she serves as an Associate Producer with e'topia,
a motion picture development company with offices in New York, London
and Dusseldorf. In particular she is involved in the development
of a feature film to be shot in Australia.
Monica is actively developing a number of projects with e'topia and is involved in marketing, script development and financing.
A producer and founding partner of Forgan-Smith Entertainment, Monica graduated from
Griffith University, Australia with a Bachelor
of Arts majoring in film and media studies and has undertaken film studies at New York
University and the New
School.
