Tamara O’Brien is an award-winning
composer who has been writing music since the age of five. She has scored numerous dramas, documentaries, animations, TV ads,
and much more. She was the winner of the 2004 APRA (Australasian Performing Rights Association) Professional Development Award
for Film and Television, recipient of a travel grant from the Australian Embassy in Berlin, and has travelled widely -- including Berlin,
Hong Kong and Los Angeles -- to participate in film scoring
workshops and conferences.
Tamara’s film scores range
from personal solos to full orchestra in a wide variety of musical styles. She has recorded film music at Trackdown Scoring
Stage at Fox Studios, Sydney and the Newman Scoring Stage at Fox Studios, LA.

Tamara has won many awards for her compositions and has been nominated for
prestigious film industry awards including nomination for Best Score for a Documentary in the 2004 APRA/AGSC (Australian Guild
of Screen Composers) Screen Music Awards. She was also nominated for a MPSE Golden Reel Award in 2005 for her work in the
animation Crawlspace. A graduate of the Australian Film Television and Radio School, the University
of NSW and the Australian Catholic University in Melbourne, Tamara composes her scores from her studio in Sydney
where she is driven by her passion of scoring for the screen.
